Project: Bredenbury Primary School
Duration: 4 Months
Architect: Nicholls Partnership
Two independent traditional block built extensions, one to extend a classroom and the other to create two changing rooms, disabled WC and associated lobby. There was also re-flooring and re-decoration works within the existing corridor which required close liaison with the school and re-roofing works to the existing flat roof.
As the work was disruptive to the school’s undertaking, it was therefore paramount that site operations were co-ordinated to ensure minimal noise and dust.
The youngest two classes were given a guided tour around the building sites during their construction so that they could have a better understanding and give them a personal experience of the construction process. Each student was equipped with hard hats and high-visibility jackets and it even made local news (see link)
