Project: Construction of Care Home
Client: Herefordshire Mind
Value: £1.5 million
Duration: 12 months
Architect: Sutton & Wilkinson Chartered Architects
This was a challenging project involving the construction of a new 14-bedroom mental health recovery clinic with nursing support.
Herefordshire Mind is a local charity dedicated to assisting people with mental health problems. More can be read about the charity and the new facilities on their website.
The construction was hampered by an inherent lack of space on site. To aid with this issue, a mobile self-erecting tower crane was employed and operated remotely by the C J Bayliss operatives.
The project also a finalist in the 2017 LABC Building Excellence awards or Best Public Service Building.
