Project: 16a – 17 St Peter’s Street, Hereford
Duration: 6 months
Architect: Hook Mason Architect
In October 2010 a fire ripped through High Town in Hereford and after the blaze was put out the shops have been left as an eyesore with scaffold around them.
After 6 months of painstaking restoration and repair work the building has been given a new lease of life and is now safe and ready for occupation.
The works involved retaining as much of the original 17th century historic structure as possible whilst still making it a safe environment. As a result this required close liaison with the local conservation officer and the use of both traditional and new techniques.
