The Brief.
Design and build project involving the erection of a steel frame structure that was partly cladded with brick work and Kingspan insulated panels. The curved roof designed caused many headaches, but with extremely efficient interactions between the architect and the construction team the building was made water tight retaining the original visual impact of the building.
The build also involved solar panels and rain water harvesting to ensure it was environmentally sustainable. Internal acoustic floors and walls were constructed to ensure the most efficient teaching environment. Internal air conditioning and heat recovery systems were installed were also installed.
