The Brief.
C J Bayliss (Hereford) Ltd was contracted to build a SIP (Structurally Insulated Panel) building that could be used as a co-location centre at Lady Hawkin’s School. The construction process included the erection of a SIP panel structure which resulted in an extremely well insulated and air tight structure.
The SIP panels were then clad with sustainable red cedar boarding and a sedam roof. The structure achieved an airtightness figure of 3.4 resulting in a very energy efficient building for the school.
